A dental veneer is a thin custom-made shell designed to cover the front surface of the teeth.
Why Veneer?
Veneers are used to fix teeth that are stained, oddly shaped or to close a gap between teeth.
The veneer can be made out of porcelain, acrylic or composite resin. A dental veneer does not require any special care.
2 types of veneer:
- Direct veneer: made from a composite resin, the veneer is applied to the tooth in one single appointment.
- Indirect veneer: made from porcelain, the veneer is made in a lab from an impression. Then, it is cemented directly on the tooth. This option lasts longer.
